Description:
In the early morning, we will pick you up from Islamabad and commence our journey to Ayun Valley, Chitral. Our first stop will be in Dir, after which we will continue to Ayun Valley, aiming to arrive by evening for an overnight stay.
Day: 2
Route Details: 3-4 Hours Drive
Description:
We will head to Kalash Valley in a local car. Today, we have the entire day to immerse ourselves in the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the Kalasha people. We will explore the valley and visit other villages such as Rumbur and Bumburet. In the evening, we will move towards Chitral for an overnight stay.
Day: 3
Route Details: 5-6 Hours Drive
Description:
After breakfast, we will spend the entire day exploring the captivating Chitral Valley. We’ll visit the famous Chitral Shahi Mosque and the Chitral Museum to delve into the region’s rich history and culture. After our excursion, we’ll start our journey towards Upper Dir, aiming to reach there by mid-day and check into the hotel for a comfortable stay.
Day: 4
Route Details: 8-9 Hours Drive
Description:
After breakfast, we will begin our journey towards Besham City, traveling either via Shangla Top or the Hazara Motorway. Along the way, we will make brief stops at Chakdara and other notable points of interest. We aim to reach Besham City by evening, where we will check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day: 5
Route Details: 8-9 Hours Drive
Description:
Today, we will begin our journey towards Gilgit via the Karakoram Highway (KKH). Along the way, we will make brief stops at Summer Nala, Chilas, and the Three Mountain Junction Point to take in the stunning scenery. We aim to reach Gilgit by evening and check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day: 6
Route Details: 2-3 Hours Drive
Description:
We will begin our journey towards Hunza, making a stop at the Rakaposhi View Point to admire the stunning scenery. After a 2-hour drive, we will reach Hunza, Karimabad. In the first half of the day, we will visit the historic Baltit Fort. Later, we will explore Altit Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and delve into its rich history. In the evening, we will head to Duikar and the Eagle’s Nest View Point to witness a breathtaking sunset.
Day: 7
Route Details: 7-8 Hours Drive
Description:
Today, we will embark on our journey towards Khunjerab Pass, which stands at an impressive 4,693 meters (15,397 feet) high. Along the way, we will visit several stunning sites, including Attabad Lake, Hussaini Suspension Bridge, Passu Cones, Sost Dry Port, and finally, Khunjerab Pass. After a full day of exploration and breathtaking views, we will return to Hunza and check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Important Note: During the winter months (November to February), access to Khunjerab Pass may be restricted due to snow. As a result, we can visit Attabad Lake and Passu Cones only. Please keep this in mind when planning your itinerary.
Day: 8
Route Details: 3-4 Hours Drive
Description:
Following breakfast, we will commence our journey to Ganish Village, the oldest settlement on the ancient Silk Road, where we will explore for 1-2 hours. After our excursion in Ganish, we will proceed to Hopper Glacier in Nagar Khas, located on the opposite side of Hunza Valley, which features active glaciers. We will spend some time exploring this natural wonder. After completing our exploration, we will head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day: 9
Route Details: 5-6 Hours Drive & 2 Hours Jeep Ride
Description:
Today, we will begin our journey to Nomal, which is a one-hour drive. From Nomal, we will embark on a Jeep ride to the stunning Naltar Valley, arriving there in another hour. After our excursion in Naltar Valley, we will head back to Nomal and then proceed to Chilas, aiming to reach by evening for our overnight stay.
Day: 10
Route Details: 9-10 Hours Drive
Description:
In the morning, we will begin our journey back to Islamabad. We’ll make brief stops at a few points we missed earlier, before continuing our journey to Islamabad, aiming to reach by evening. This will mark the end of our remarkable tour.
